This is the story of Forge Counseling.

My Grandmother lived in a 400-year-old house.

The house was originally home to a metalsmith who forged items like horseshoes from wrought iron and steel. The photograph above captures Forge House in the 1900s.

As a kid, some of my best memories involved time spent at Forge House with my family. My grandmother's garden was dreamy and the center of much imaginative play. Because of this, the word "forge" holds a lot of warm fuzzy feelings for me.

The forging process is a great metaphor for how I view the therapy process.

In a forge, metalsmiths craft something strong and resilient out of existing elements. With the right tools and support, the therapy process can help you tap into your inner strengths to shape the life you imagine for yourself and your loved ones. Ultimately, you design the outcome of the "forging" process. As your therapist, I am here to share tools that will help you forge on in your unique journey.
