It’s Not Just the ‘Blues.’

Feeling sad sometimes is an expected part of life. Depression is a different beast. And, it is not just the ‘blues.’ It is a persistent feeling of a depressed mood and loss of interest in activities you once found enjoyable. Depression blocks people from living their life to the fullest and depression isn’t always easy to identify.

The tricky thing is that depression shows up differently for everyone.

Some people feel irritable and angry. Some sad and unhappy. Others feel completely overwhelmed, indecisive, and may struggle to concentrate. While many experience a combination of all of the above.

Depression is exhausting. Especially if you are used to hearing well-intentioned people make comments like “It can’t be that bad” or “At least…[insert comparison statement].”

I approach clients coping with depression with warmth, compassion, and most importantly, patience. Together, we will identify the root drivers of your depression experience and co-create a personalized healing plan.
